An association of veteran Jadavpur University engineers with ambitions to contribute to their motherland in ways that are supportable by their multi-faceted vast experience came together to form the group “Sanjog68“. The group is motivated towards sharing their expertise in working to uplift sections of under-privileged part of our society. The group’s mainstay is inspiration to introduce use of modern technology for the purpose. Appreciating needs to work towards mitigation of climate deterioration, the group has focussed in generation of de-centralised solar power in widespread areas of use. It wants to also take part in campaigns to popularise use of Solar power among broad masses. The cheaper solutions and resultant positive contribution towards betterment of living environment are things that need to be spread very fast. As a case in hand, presently the group is working to set up few model solar powered small irrigation systems in areas of need.
